Using the dashboard

Available onevery plan

A few things in the dashboard that are easy to miss.

Zoom to a day

Click a day on the visitors chart, either a bar or a point on the line, and the whole dashboard narrows to that day, hour by hour. The date picker follows along, so use it to go back to a longer range.

Press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux), or click the search button in the header. From there you can jump to any of your domains, add a new one, open your settings pages, or search these docs.

Unusual traffic

Now and then a site gets a burst of automated traffic: a scraper, a load test or an SEO tool. When Cabin spots one and a person has checked it, an Unusual traffic label appears above the visitors chart for any date range that includes those days. Click it to see what was found, such as how many page views came in against your usual level.

  • The numbers on the page still include that traffic, but it doesn't count towards your plan.
  • There's nothing you need to do. If you're behind a CDN like Cloudflare, its bot settings usually deal with this kind of traffic.
  • The label isn't shown on public dashboards.

Changing your email

Go to Settings, and under Details click Edit. Enter the new address and your current password, and Cabin sends a code to the new address to confirm it.

  • If you sign in with Google or GitHub, your email comes from that account and can't be changed here.
  • Weekly report recipients aren't updated for you. Check each site's email reports settings afterwards.
